Telescope Vega at the Astronomical and Geophysical Observatory Golovec. slika:AGO_teleskop_Vega_IMG_1795.JPG 72 DPI 71-cm teleskop Vega je bil instaliran na AGO avgusta 2003. Razen optike in optične konstrukcije so bile vse ostale komponente izdelane v Sloveniji (Litostroj, Kladivar, FMF in Fakulteta za strojništvo). Teleskop je prvenstveno namenjen vajam študentov fizike in matematike. Ang.: 71-cm telescope Vega has been installed at AGO in August 2003. Beside optics and optical tube, all other parts were made in Slovenia (Litostroj, Kladivar, FMF, FS). The telescope is mainly used for student exercises. Ang.: Messier 13 is well known globular cluster in constellation of Hercules and one of the brightest globular clusters in the northern sky. The view through the telescope is amazing and reveals several thousand stars. The overall cluster population counts several hundred thousand stars, though only a fraction of them is visible in amateur telescopes. At the distance of about 25,000 light-years, stars are concentrated within a total diameter of around 150 light-years. The Dumbbell Nebula, also known as M27. slika: M27-ff.tiff 72 DPI Planetarna meglica ročka, v ozvezdju Lisičke je od nas oddaljena okoli 1360 svetlobnih let. V premeru meri 1,4 svetlobnega leta. Ang.: The Dumbbell Nebula, also known as M27 is about 1360 light-years away toward the constellation Vulpecula. Its diameter is about 1,4 light-year. It was created when a Sun-like star near the end of its life (in the red giant phase) expelled the external shells of ionized gases in the surrounding interstellar space and became a white dwarf. Ang.: On October 28, 2014 at around 21h03UT, several all-sky cameras in Slovenia recorded a bright fireball of magnitude about -7, that left a trail of ionized gas. Using the images from two locations, we calculated the fireball path in the atmosphere. The fireball light up at the height of 118 km over the village Črni Vrh, continued its path toward the south-west and ended at the height of 82 km over the town Sežana. Photometric light-curve of fireball is in the insert. Avtor: Bojan Dintinjana. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sonce v H-alfa svetlobi. Ang.: Image of Sun in H-alpha light was taken on June 6, 2018 by students during the observational exercises. The Sun was close to solar minimum and without the sunspots. Anyway, the solar photosphere is still active with visible granulation, filaments and outbursts of plasma (prominences) at the solar limb.
