Deep Sky Objects from the Ephem Program Database

The Ephem program (in its version 4.28 for OS/2) calculates ephemeris, rising and setting times for both objects of the Solar System and objects beyond, i.e. stars and Deep Sky Objects. Actually, it is possible to provide all data by oneself (i.e., orbital elements for solar system objects, and positions given by Right Ascension and Declination for stars and DSOs). For the convenience of the user, the program provides a database containing elements for the main and some other interesting bodies in the Solar System, several bright stars, all 110 Messier objects, plus 27 other deep sky objects which are in the NGC but not in Messier's catalog.

Here we present the data as given in the Ephem database for these 27 NGC objects. Besides the NGC number, the Right Ascension (RA) and Declination (Dec) for 2000.0 as well as an approximate magnitude are given.

The present author has linked the objects to pages in the Messier Database as far as there are pages for them.
