M109 as photographed by French amateurs Michel Peyro, Jean-Philippe Barrilliot, and Franck Lefevre of the Observatoire Astronomique in Southern France. This image was obtained with a 600 mm f/3.2 Newtonian telescope and Hisis22 CCD camera.

    [M109, M. Germano]

    Martin Germano took this great shot of M109 with his self-made 14.5-inch Newtonian telescope, on b/w film. This is a photo taken in 1993, exposed 75 minutes, on hypered Kodak Tech Pan 2415. Martin scanned it with a new scanner in December 2000.
