[M28, 2MASS]

Infrared image of globular cluster M28, created from photographic data obtained with the 2MASS IR telescopes, from the 2MASS atlas. As all IR images, this is a false-color image. As all the 2MASS atlas images, colors are used to code different IR wavelength bands, or IR colors. Here, blue codes shortest-wavelength, nearest or warmest IR radiation, and red longest-wavelength, fasthest or coolest IR. Field of view of this image is 6.7 x 6.7 arc minutes.
